Feeling lucky? If not, perhaps you should hang a horseshoe above your door.
Legend says that a horseshoe hung over a door invites luck into the home and keeps the devil away.
I figured since we screwed up our "chi" by putting a bed in front of the window, I'd invite a little luck into our home with a horseshoe over our side entry door.
Plus, I like its rustic, farmhouse appeal. Good luck charming, I'd say!
They are charming! My mom was very particular about having one. Maybe I should search for one too...
ReplyDeleteOoh, now I want to run out and find one of my own to hang! The picture of the cottage/shed made me cringe though. Never hang a horse shoe upside down or the luck runs out!
ReplyDeleteCute. We have small crosses in our door frames. It's an old tradition with a similar purpose.
ReplyDeleteLooks perfect there! I bought a St. Brigid's cross in Ireland last year and have to hang it over my door! Something to be said for old traditions!

ReplyDeleteI didn't know this. You will have to keep us posted about the good luck, and goodness knows I don't need the devil in my house. If it works for you, I will get one, and they are kinda cute, too!
ReplyDeleteI never heard of this, but I'll be on the lookout for a horseshoe!!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
