Of course, we narrowly escaped a fugitive shoot-out in Alabama and our 3 year old was severely traumatized in a gas station restroom hand-dryer incident, but other than that, we emerged from vacation unscathed.
I'm still busy shaking the sand out of our luggage and getting back to reality, but I wanted to show you some of the beautiful homes I spotted at the beach.
We passed this oceanfront home on our way to the beach every day.
Not too shabby, huh? Love the turquoise shutters and incredible lanterns!
This was one of my favorite homes on our beach walk.
Again, love the shutters... and the transoms! It also had gorgeous tile inlay on the porch floor.
Here are a few shots of the place we stayed...
This is the view heading down to the beach...
Our favorite things about Rosemary: the white sand and the crystal clear water...
We headed over to Seaside one day. The master-planned community of Seaside is known for its architecture, pastel homes and picket fences. Seaside is the location where The Truman Show was filmed.
I'll take this one...
It had me at the front door...
This porch was beautifully decorated.
I'm trying to get a closer look without being too obvious...
This is as close as I could get. I think they were getting ready to call the cops...
So cute!
So many beautiful sights, but my favorite was this one...
Oh, what fun. Love that area down there. My dad lives in Destin, but I don't see him very often. Need to plan a trip some day.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a ball. I used to love Rosemary Beach -but haven't been there in years. Isn't Seaside an amazing community? It is like a little bit of fairytale land, isn't it? xo Diana
ReplyDeleteAnd to think......they used to call that area the Redneck Rivera!!!!!! Did you see Alys Beach too? TDF!!!
