The weather outside is frightful! It's been cold, rainy and gray for the past two days, and apparently the sun will not be making an appearance any time soon. So, come on inside...
Hopefully, the small touches of Christmas in our foyer will make you feel warm and welcome.
As you can see, I keep things pretty simple. Some small touches of greenery...
Some real, some not so much...
A little sparkle...
Festive and easy, so we can spend our time
fighting the mall crowds, buying and wrapping gifts, attending holiday parties, chaperoning school parties, watching choir performances and preschool shows, baking Christmas cookies, taking 20,000 photos to get just one decent one for Christmas cards, stuffing, sealing and licking stamps for said cards, blogging about Christmas decorations focusing on the true reason for the season!
Hope you're keeping warm today :)

It may be simple but it is very, very lovely...warm and welcoming. Have fun fighting those crowds! xoDiana
ReplyDeleteLove your festive entry. That vintage bench is wonderful and love your post.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks elegant, warm, and like open arms...so inviting.
ReplyDeleteWhat is more beautiful than decorations from Mother Nature? Love it all.
And just wondering how you keep it all so neat with FOUR boys and a dog??
All joys,

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful foyer! The warm yellow walls work perfectly with your green and red decor. And I really like the little lite tree by the bench. So inviting!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and gracious! I love the sconces and everything else....Christmas is really in the air!
ReplyDeleteOmigosh your home is so gorgeous. It reminds me on the house from Father of the Bride.

Your home is beautiful and I love the simplicity of your holiday decorations. Thanks for inviting us in on this dreary, rainy day. How uplifting!
ReplyDeleteYour staircase is just stunning! I love all of your decorative touches!

Well said!! Ha! Your foyer looks very nice and inviting for the holiday. Your garland looks great with the mix of greens too. We quit giving Christmas cards to people we plan on visiting. It became too much of a chore and too expensive. I only mail them to people we won't get to see during the holidays. You might try that if it is becoming overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your dreadful weather... Your home is looking warm and cozy. Wish I could box up some sunshine and send it your way!!!
ReplyDeleteYour home is very beautiful and the touches of Christmas decorations make it more so. Wish mine looked as shiny clean as yours. Everything looks festive but in a very elegant classy way.--------Shannon

ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!
